Every year, we start to worry about our skin before summer starts. The sun's intense heat, humidity and pollution are why thousands of problems like receding brightness, excessive oil, sunburn, flakiness, and pimples start to appear. There is no way to skip summer in our lives, but following some simple tips we can reduce skin problems in the summer. Exfoliation

In summer, the skin sweats a lot and as a result it gets more dirty, and of course there is dead cell. When dead cells and dirt collect, no skin product will properly be absorbed in to the skin.  Another skin problem in the summer is the reduction of brightness. So I’d suggest a natural exfoliator which will help increase the skin’s glow along with exfoliation. 

What you’ll need:
-    Orange peel Powder 
-    Milk (for mixing) 

To make the Orange peel powder, dry the orange skin for 2-3 days in the sun. Now, mix the amount of powder with milk and make a smooth paste. Massage the paste on your face and body in circular motion. The skin in the elbow, knee and ankles are relatively more dry and rough. So spend a little extra time to scrub these parts. Orange peel is very helpful in maintaining skin’s complexion and to keep it glowing.

Brightening Face-Mask 

This face mask works amazingly as a natural solution to bring back skin's brightness in the summer. 

What you’ll need:
-    1 Cucumber
-    2/3 teaspoons of sour curd 

Blend a small sized cucumber into paste and mix it with sour curd. Now, apply the paste on your face and neck, and massage it in a circular motion for a while. Wash it off with water after 5 minutes. Cucumber helps cool the skin, removes dirt and opens up closed pores. It also reduces the skin's dullness and dryness to bring back the glow. 

 

Summer Friendly Products 

Heavy or cream-based products block off skin pores, and as a result, problems like pimples and acne starts to show. So, try using a light, non-greasy, and gel or water-based products to ensure the natural brightening of your skin. Because, these products get absorbed quickly on skin, does not feel heavy on your skin and won’t block off skin pores.  

In the summer, you must use a moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated, soft and to protect it against the harmful rays of the sun. you can choose Vaseline Healthy Bright Lotion as your summer body lotion. This body lotion has triple sunscreen that helps protect the skin from sun damages. Also, it's not greasy and it gets quickly absorbed on skin.

 

Sunscreen

To protect yourself from sun damage you must apply sunscreen before you get out. When selecting sunscreen, make sure it has SPF 30 at the very least. Because SPF 30 blocks up to 96% of the harmful rays from the sun. Select a light-weight sunscreen in the summer which gets absorbed quickly on the skin.

 

Lipbum and Sunglasses 

The skin around our eyes and our lips are relatively thinner and require extra attention. The Sun is at its most intense from 12 noon till 4 in the evening. Try not to head out as much as possible. However, if you must, you should use sunglasses and lip-balm. An SPF Lip-balm will protect the lips from UV rays in addition to keeping lips hydrated.  

To reduce the sunburn, wash your skin with clean, cold water after coming back indoors. You can also apply Potato juice under your eyes using cotton pads. Because, Potato juice is very helpful in soothing the skin.

Besides this, the diet needs to have enough water, fluid and fresh fruits to keep the skin hydrated. These simple tips can significantly reduce your skin problems during Summer.
