Mix in a teaspoon of Vaseline with a slight pinch of your favorite shade of shimmering highlighter, eye-shadow or even blush. This will leave the transparent gloss with little specs of shimmer across your lips that dazzle in sunshine! An ideal choice for a “no-makeup look”.
The Rosy Hue
For those who want the comfort of hydrated lips without the glitter particles, there’s a quick customizable solution. Slice off a tiny thin slice of your favorite lipstick, and place it on a tablespoon. Now carefully add some heat to the bottom of the spoon by placing it above a candle. Make sure the flame is not too close to the spoon or the direct heat may burn the color pigment. Once completely dissolved, quickly add in half a teaspoon of Vaseline and smoothly blend together to create your customized perfect glossy tint!
Remember, to get more pigment you can simply use a greater portion of the lipstick/eyeshadow (whichever kind of pigment you choose to use), while for a sheer finish you can reduce it! The greater the portion of Vaseline, the less opaque your formula will be, hence making your look more soft and natural.
Full Glam Shine!
If you want something bolder than the everyday natural look, just apply your favorite crème or matte lipstick that give you the desired level of pigment. This can even be a liquid lipstick and bold, earthy colours will work best. Now simply layer on your Vaseline on top with a single swipe to ensure maximum shine! Remember, multiple swipe of gloss can dull the initial shine and often make it feel excessive on the lips. The trick is to do a thin single layer!
To rock any trendy look, the most essential part is to be comfortable and realistically functional.
