Baking and blending for flawless makeup

There are some simple techniques that you need to know in order to achieve flawless makeup. There are two specific techniques that you must follow while doing makeup. One is makeup baking and the other is makeup blending. These two are very common techniques but can easily be ruined if not done properly. You also need to know which makeup products to blend and which products to bake in order to achieve the perfect makeup.

What’s baking

Before we get into how to bake, we need to know what baking is. Makeup baking is a process. It’s a process that we use to apply concealer and foundation under the eyes and use loose powder to reduce extra oil and set the makeup. This process is used to retain powder under the skin for 10 to 15 minutes. This is what is known as baking.

What you need
Eye-cream

Moisturizing the part of the eye is a must. It’s a must to make it smooth and moisturized before applying makeup. This is because you’ll use a lot of powder during the baking process which might make the skin rough. That’s why you need to start off by applying a hydrating eye-cream.

Foundation

Baking is putting one layer of makeup over the other. That’s why you need to apply foundation over eye cream. You can also use liquid foundation under the eyes.

Concealer

The most important product in this list is a concealer. Liquid concealer works best when it comes to baking and helps set the powder.

Brush

Use a flappy brush to remove the extra powder that will remain after you apply loose powder over the foundation and concealer.

Setting powder

It’s impossible to do baking without setting powder. Setting powder is used to bring a matte finish after applying all the makeup products. You need to let the setting powder rest for 10 to 15 minutes in order to bake the makeup. If the bake is done correctly then there won’t be any extra oil under the eyes.

Blending means mixing the makeup with the skin. It can be base makeup or it can be eye-shadow, blush on or bronzer. In order to get a smooth makeup you need to blend, blend, and blend!

Foundation

Foundation is very important when it comes to base makeup. After using primer, you need to blend the foundation using sponge first and then a brush.

Bronzer

You can use a bristle brush, a fan brush or a contour makeup blender to easily blend bronzer.

Highlight

You can use the same brushes to blend the cheekbone highlights

The more you blend eye-shadows, the more perfect it will look. But the blending process for different styles of eye-shadow looks are different.
